Autumn Reflections

The arrival of autumn and harvest season has me reflecting on what I've gathered up this year (in my little basket of life)... and what I've had to let go.

The new year brought a new song of mine, "Tough Guy," into the world, with a fuller Americana sound and a much-needed expression of connection and breaking down long-held emotional walls. It led to yet another layer of healing and security my soul knew I was needing.

(Music is always magic that way in how it guides you to heal.)

The spring and summer brought the final highs and lows of a two-year tumultuous relationship to an end, as I rode the waves of working life that forged me and made me even stronger, despite all the challenges I faced.

Now, in the fall, is when I feel myself coming more fully to life again.

While it's still warm, I'll be taking a last hurrah road trip down to Carmel and Santa Cruz to soak in my favorite places, then settling into the autumnal beauty of the Sacramento region this season. Pumpkin picking. Wine tasting. Fall festivals. And cooler evenings to nurture internal callings.

As I look for writing work outwardly in the world, I'll be turning in to finish my long-overdue novel, while challenging myself to create new music and art to share.

I hope this year has been good to you. I hope you are finding the strength to carry on and overcome any challenges in your path. Most of all, I hope you are embodying who you want to be in this world and finding peace and healing along the way.

Thank you for being here.
